The MOABI Foundation supports plant taxonomic research

MOABI aims to contribute to the extension and propagation of the necessary taxonomic knowledge of the tropical African flora. This is done by supporting young African botanists who are qualifying for this research area. Relatively small financial contributions - e.g. in order to enable a training period, a study trip, or the delivery of a publication - may often be an important stimulant to this research.

MOABI grants

The Moabi Foundation provides small grants to help taxonomists from abroad to study the collections of the Herbarium Vadense in Wageningen, to contribute to a meeting or to deliver a publication. For advice about succesful application, please consult the Criteria carefully or contact one of the members of the Board of the Moabi Foundation.
Anyone interested in applying for a grant should submit a completed Moabi Foundation grant request and mail this to The Secretary, Moabi Foundation, Gen. Foulkesweg 37, 6703 BL Wageningen, the Netherlands (or by email: Email to Moabi).

The funding facility for 2010 is closed. Nevertheless, applications can still be submitted at any time. They will be tested for eligibility and if applicable kept in portfolio until the facility opens again next year.
